Find me a ticket!

I've just had a cold sales call from someone who said they got my details from get me a ticket... I've never registered with them! I told him this so he went on to blame my children, family members and work colleagues I explained that none of these would do so, I said I find it more likely you paid for my details off of another company which he did not deny and said he will remove me off their records.

I've gone onto this get me a ticket to see what it is and I have never seen it, I've searched my emails and have never registered with them yet I put my email address in and password reset, was able to log on an account held with my email address I certainly did not set up and there on file were all my details name, home address and mobile telephone number. :eek: has anyone else had this happen?

Seems lots of people are getting spam emails from get me a ticket today and now they're selling peoples details and those people are getting random phone calls.
Not good.
I wonder how to remove my details from get me a ticket if this is how they're going to be.

I am pretty sure find me a ticket have obtained my details from somewhere and set me up a generated profile, as when I changed the details to false information it would not accept without me putting income, number of dependants etc so sneaky. Hopefully now I've changed the information I wont get another call!

Have you entered Quiz Factor comps? It might be them selling your info.

No I dont enter many comps. Very strange!

I had the e-mail today.

Having seen this I just checked and discovered they had set up an account for me too.

I changed what details I could to absolute junk-if they try ringing they won't get anyone else hopefully.

I also sent an angry message warning them that if they don't delete my details I will report them to the Data Protection Commissioner, and will do so if they sell my details on.

If it hadn't been for Mookies thread I would not have known.

Livewire mentioned Quiz Factor- there was an e-mail from them in my junk a few days ago. I've not entered anything to do with them, so the info has come from another competition entry somewhere.

I don't think its from a competition entry, its really bugging me I was thinking about it and they had my mobile number, for comps & freebies I always give a landline number (usually a false one!) never my mobile, I'm really wary who I give my number to as my hubby had a sms scam on his phone last year which took a while to get sorted. I didn't get any emails just this phone call which alerted me to check find me a ticket as thats where he claimed to have got my details. They have obtained my details from somewhere, I might continue to get calls until the system updates with Minnie Mouse's details
