Me and my partner have started looking at venues for our 2014 wedding and didn't realise all the questions we should be asking!

Which questions did you not ask which you wish you had? Which questions did you find to be most useful?

Maximum & minimum capacity for room you want
Deposit & balance arrangements
Guests room rate
Opportunity to see room set up for wedding
Security for gifts / cards (ours went into the hotel safe when the meal was served as all guests were then)
Location of bar / toilets / smoking facilities
Air con / ventilation

does this quote include VAT!
how payment is staggered
are we the only ones get hitched that day.
can we use our own suppliers?
can we bring our own booze? (sometimes works out cheaper)
corkage charge
any decorations/confetti not allowed (some have rules and regs on what you can and can't do)
can we fix the prices (discount for booking early and stop tem increasing the prices after you signed the contact)
discounts for booking weekday/unusual date.
