    yep it's daft!

unless the LCD monitor has composite or Svhs inputs, nope, you can't
most monitors only have VGA or DVI inputs nowadays

Would I be right in saying that you can't join this directly up to a TV aerial? It looks like it would need a Freeview box or an NTL or Sky box to provide a video out. And then you need to sort out the sound. But it looks like a great idea, especially if you're monitor has two switchable inputs. If only the postage to Northern Ireland was less than 13 quid...

    Mine arrived today.

You can connect directly to a TV arial.

You can't connect it to a laptop (unless the laptop has video in I guess.)

No it's not daft, because Freeview boxes ought to have RGB outputs. As for the levels and scan rates I don't know.

Ordered an Acer Ax120 at approximately 2 pm today, just received email from MISCO saying:

    "Dear Mr XXXX,
I am writing regarding the web order you placed with us today for an Acer AX120 external TV tuner box. Unfortunately the item is out of stock and we wont be getting anymore in of those.

Sorry for any inconvenience regarding this

    Thank you for your order."

Seems I was lucky too, also had the dispatch email. I'm still wondering if this was the correct price as it seems very cheap compared with other sites. I bought someting similar a couple of years ago to use with a spare tft monitor and it was £130!
  • Damnit....too late.

Ive been after one for ages.

Anyone wanna sell their one! :rotfl:

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Kind Regards

can anyone recommend another one to use on a digimate L-1715 17" TFT Monitor?
and if so how? my sister asked me to look for a bargain on an lcd tv, but I bought a digimate L-1715 17" TFT Monitor from amazon by mistake!
