This sounds like The Hair Group thing where they NEVER call you back and you get fobbed off when you chase them!

You're wrong.
They did call me back and I had a free cut and a half price colour which was very good value.

I'm really sorry if not everyone benefits every time, but that doesn't mean you should poo poo the offers because for some people they are really good.
It's just the luck of the draw and where you live.
Obviously if you live outside of a major town then you can't expect to have salons nearby.

lisyloo, I live slap bang between a major city and several major towns and I've tried 3 times and have several PARTICIPATING salons that I could get to! You obviously haven't seen the multiple page thread of loads of people who have been fobbed off by The Hair Group. I'm not poo-pooing any offer if it works, I'm just sceptical.

I was hoping but nearest is a 3 hr drive (wrong end of the county) & if its anything like the Danone offer last year - vouchers never arrive!

Well, there's a salon a few minutes away (for once), and I usually treat myself to a pedicure this time of year, so hopefully this offer will work for me - will pick up the mag on the school run this afternoon

I have seen some complaints but not pages and pages.

When it says "only available at participating salons" then I think people have to understand that the one down the road from them might not be participating and there might not be one in their area.
There can be 20 salons that you can get to but none of them may be participating in the offer.

I'm sorry if people feel let down but you have to read what it says and set your expectations accordingly.
If it says "only at participating salons" or "subject to availability" then you have to understand that it means you might not get it.

So all I can say is make sure you know what the deal is before you buy the shampoo, magazine etc. and set your expectations accordingly.

Same with anything really. You need to understand what you are getting before you sign up.
Usually you can check whether there is a salon in your area.
In this case there is a very easy to find and easy to use website that you can check before spending on the magazine.

I've sent off for these before - one hair & one beauty. I also live in a city and could easily get to more than one salon which was participating, but I never heard anything.

That said, I'll proably give it another go!
