My Dirty Wash Basket is EMPTY !

Options
Just wanted to share this amazing news with you.

Dd and myself spent the first part of last week in pjs as we both had horrendous colds, so hardly any washing from us, except clean pjs and bedding.

On Friday ds was rushed into hospital with food poisoning. After a day in there, on a couple of drips and a dose of morphine, he was allowed home, but has stayed in bed since. Therefore no washing from him, except clean bedding and boxers.

So after a really bad week I finally have something to smile at. It may have come about in a not so nice way, but it still makes me quietly content. It is not often that basket is empty here.

sorry to hear you've had a rough week - at least you can take comfort from that silver lining ;)

My wash bin is almost empty - have been able to put washing on the line for the first time in about 9 days!

However, unlike lovesabargain, I don't have a lot of ironing as most of my husband's shirts are hung on the line on hangers (he hasn't realised yet :)) which helps enormously.

But, for some reason, my mending bag is spilling over - son's new trousers need taking up & an old pair need mending over the knee; a few buttons need stitching onto shirts; I twice caught my sleeve on the kitchen doorhandle & ripped the sleeve of 2 blouses - grrr!!; 2 vests have small holes in (I'm wondering if we have carpet beetles) & that's all I can see, don't even know what's at the bottom of the pile.

Oh well, no rest for the wicked, so they say ;)
  • What is this "ironing" of which you speak? :A :D

Two sunny days = one empty basket, except for a couple of white polo shirts which I can't justify as a load yet. Will get the sheets changed midweek as we're forecast some rain in the next couple of days. Then we'll be back to having the basket look like it's vomited over the bedroom floor :rotfl:
