Blog Competitions

Just wondering about competitions on blogs.
If I see a competition on a blog with rafflecopter entries, I usually only enter using the twitter or facebook entry methods, because I don't really understand what following a blog involves. There seem to be so many ways, such as Bloglovin, GFC,networked blogs and goodness knows what else.
Do any of you use these various methods? How do they actually work (excuse my ignorance). Does anyone know of a good guide to help me?
TIA

GFC - Google Friend connect. This connects your Google Account to the site so you can get updates... It's useful as a lot ask for it. If you go on the google homepage you can set one up (google + also has good very low entry comps on it)
Bloglovin - not sure
Networked blogs - I'm assuming is for bloggers to connect each other but I don't use it with mine.
I too just usually follow on twitter, tweet or on FB. I don't know of a guide - but I hope that explains GFC a bit for you xxDecember Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0 -

Thanks for the reply.
When you say it connects your Google Account, do you mean a Googlemail email address, or gmail, or is a google account something different? Sorry to be so thick!0 -
This explains GFC:

I'm still not quite sure what it does0 -
