Pension offer spreadsheet anywhere?

A friend of mine has had to retire after a heart attack. he has been made 2 offers from his employer regarding his pension. he can have a a large lump sum and small pension or vice versa. I wondered if anyone has knowledge of maybe an Excel spreadsheet where we could put in the variable offer amounts and calculate which would be the favourable option?
