Also I had a finance agreement on a car who had charged me over £600 in letter fee's.
When i filed against them in court they refunded the charges and actually halved the outstanding anount owed on the account.

This is a blatant profit making scheme and not exactly a service is it ?
I already know if i am late with a payment without being charged £30 as a reminder.
If they can't provide a full breakdown of the service then why should you pay?
Of course the same rules apply as bank charges.
Any charge which is a penalty is unlawful unless they can prove cost or loss to themselves.
An automated letter does not cost £30 to send.
