I really need some motivation to comp.... i have allot of school work - yes i am a teenager with loads of coursework but nothing can take me away from the excitement when i see the postman ,sounds wierd:))
Heres my problem, I want to win soemthing,as we all do but i dont know how to set up some sort of a routine so i comp reguarly and can keep track of the competitons i enter.
i would be very gratefull if someone could post effort needed competions or links to it.
Thankyou :j

I only keep track by clicking the green tick. Some people keep spreadsheets but I'm yet to be convinced that's in any way useful .... each to their own, though.
You could use the search facility (just at the top of the competitions board, not the one on the tool bar further up as that would search the whole site), and put the word 'effort' in if you want to find comps requiring effort. Click 'advanced search' and you can narrow it down to just searching the title of the thread.
I had to raise a wry smile when I saw you need motivation to comp, but have a lot of coursework. I hope that means you're doing more coursework than comps!
At the risk of sounding like an old woman (and drawing from my own experience with schoolwork), it's really best to try and get into a rhythm of doing 30mins coursework and then 30mins comping (or whatever length of time you want) then you at least get something meaningful done and don't suddenly realise that the evening has disappeared and you haven't done any work0 -

Also, you don't say how old you are, but make sure that you're not wasting time by entering competitions that you don't qualify for, a lot of them state that you have to be a certain age (over 18?) to qualify. Good LuckLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

And some sites do state that they will verify that you are over 18 by asking to send proof of age in the form of photo ID. Good luck with your comping!0 -
Good luck. You might be better off concentrating your efforts on competitions where you have to be under 18. So many of us are too old to enter these, that you will have a better chance of winning. Especially the ones where you have to write an essay or something.0
