Tesco Clubcard Points Query

Hi there,

I've only recently started collecting clubcard points as I've just moved house to somewhere where a Tesco is convenient.

I received a few coupons through the post and did my shopping as usual. Total came to £108.18 and I used the following coupons:

Double points
100 extra points for paying with Amex
50 extra points when buying an item from whole foods dept.

All good but my receipt says the following:

Points this visit 159
Includes:
100 points for Amex
50 points for whole foods

So... It doesn't mention the double points coupon at all (it was still valid) and if the 159 points includes the amex and whole foods points (150 in total) why have I only earned 9 points on my shop of £110?

Are double points coupons normally applied at a later date?

By my calculations it should have been:

108 points x 2 = 216
Pus 100
Plus 50

= 366 points.

Or have I just misunderstood how it works?

Sorry for the long post, as I said I've just started with clubcard and not really certain how it works yet.

Thanks.

Sorry your calculations is how I would see it too, I know that some points are added at quarter end:mad:, when they bother, so I would phone them up and ask:)

The double points with the voucher do not show on your receipt until 48 hours later. You should get 2x108=216 plus 50points and then a further 100 points. Your total of 366 is correct. The cut off date for the February Clubcard Vouchers is today. You probably wont be able to check your receipt for these added points atm. Im not sure whether as the cut off date is today that the double points will be added in the next points collection or will be in this one?
  • Date on the coupon was 27th rather than today... Will check my account next week. Thanks

The date on the coupon wont make a difference. Its just that today is the cut off date for clubcard points so im not sure whether they include the double points one as it was used today or they added it to the next mailing as it normally takes 48hours to show on your next till receipt.

If you look at 'view your points' on MCA you should see the transaction for 'double points listed a second later! As others have said, Double-points don't show on the receipt, but as long as it is itemised on the receipt that's fine.
The Amex points maybe different, that depends on the T & Cs of Amex - you may need to query that with Amex - keep the receipt and check MCA for these.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard
