Great you have saved that in 12 months, otherwise you had spare whilst br and probably should have declared it to the OR to get an IPA.

I worked overtime, worked hard and saved hard and went without other luxuries. Those savings were saved honestly and my bankruptcy was completed honestly - besides how can you not declare everything to the OR or hide money, where would you hide it anyway, under the floor boards? Surely they would of noticed that amount spirited away one way or another. I did everything i could to prevent BR, but sometimes, unfortunately these things are taken out of your control......

Phoned Mini, they will accept my parents as a guarantee....

Will update further as things progress......:)

I look forward to seeing your updates on this. I too will be looking to get a car from MINI sometime next year so will be good to see how you get on.
  • Hi Guys!!!
Pleased to say that i got my mini, AND without the need of a guarantee which is fantastic. So now i can improve my credit history as well through the payments i make...

So there is hope out there for genuine people that have to BR and try to live their lives honestly.

I hope this post gives people hope that that things can only get better
I'll post a pic if i can when i pick it up at the weekend.

    Soooooo happy!!!!
  • That is good news. I hope you are very happy with it!

That may well be the case....or simply, used the dealers other finance leads?

Much will depend on other aspects apart from the BR.

For example, the applicant's level of income?

And how needy the dealer is to move stock?

As with everything, just because some people have difficulties obtaining any from of credit or finance package, doesn't mean all ex-BR's will have that difficulty.

There are other aspects which might be looked at...for example, the ability to meet the payments?

The OP failed to mention how much the Mini is actually costing them.....?

    Or, how old it is?
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Yeah I sure did, and very happy with it. Don't feel it's necessary to detail the price but the APR was 7% and the car was first registered in September 2011, it was a company vehicle for Mini with 9000 miles on it! My income would be that of a Manager in retail......

Hope this helps anyone and gives them hope!!
