If you are making the agreed payments however small then the creditor won't seek a CCJ. If you were to stop paying altogether then the creditor might seek to get a CCJ.

We did not aggree any repayment. I have just been sending £12 pm. I never get chased for this dedbt just get annual statements which is an FSA requirement. My Credit Report dones not even mention this or show they are still receiving payments.

If I get a CCJ this year will that stay for another 6 years.?

    thank you all

I believe that unless either a judgement is set aside or the amount is paid in full within one month, a CCJ will remain on the register for six years from the date of registration and therefore reported to the CRAs during the same period.

Are you having difficulties paying or something?????????

Yes I am havigng difficulties. at the moment this is the least prority debt I have. If I approched the creditor for a settlement what is a realistic amount I should propose. Or will approahing them not a good ideas if I am not on there radar ?? I have total debts of arounf 11k not including the mortgage

    barclaycard £2895
    HSBC default current account: 1300
    mastercard 1600
    Santander: 1850
    Egg: 3300

Was in debt of over 33K back in Sept 2007 and I am chipping away slowly.

ALso my HSBC Mastercard and HSBC current account were defaulted both and are now with Moorcrof for over a year, however these do not show as defaults on my credit report. (is this due to them being passed to moorcroft?) or should I be expecting a default in the future.

    thanks

I've just looked at my Credit Report on Equifax and there appears to be some incorrect information (although in my favour). HSBC Mastercard shows its been Settled in in July 2012 (originally Defaulted in Jan 09) however I am on a replayment plan with Moorcroft and if I dont stick to it they chase me. How can this happen ? shall I tell Moorcroft the Debt is settled or is this not a good idea. ?
