Slow cooker question

Hi,
I have put a stew into my slow cooker - veg and meat. I put it on about 3 hours after I normally do as I had a lie in this morning
The veggies are still like bullets and we need to eat it in a couple of hours - is it OK to transfer from the slow cooker into a normal casserole dish with lid and put it in the oven?
Thanks.

Of course it is. Be aware though it will now be cooked before you need it, so keep an eye on it and make sure there's enough liquid.
Another option would be to bring it to the boil on the hob (in a pan) and simmer for, say 20 mins, then pop it back in the SC until you're ready to eat it. Check the veg are *almost* tender before putting back in the SC if you do this.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
