Plain Flour/SR Flour in recipe

Options
I have a recipe that calls for

125 g plain flour and 2 and a quarter baking powder.

Any idea how much baking powder I would use if I only have SR in the house?

I am trying to clear cupboards etc so don't want to have to go out and shop if I don't need to.

A quick Google says to substitute SR flour, add 5g of baking powder to 250g of plain, so it looks you won't need to add any extra baking powder.
Appears some SR flour also contain salt (about 1g per 250g flour), dunno if it's the case in UK, but you may need to allow for it if adding extra salt.

  • SR flour needs no baking-powder as it has already been added at the mill.
