Outdoor/Unusual Wedding Venue in Yorkshire

Hi
I'm looking for a wedding venue in Yorkshire (Doesn't matter if it's NSEW).
Ideally it will have a package option. Our budget is about £2000 for the ceremony and reception.
I've looked at so many hotels and houses and have as huge list of the ones I like.
I was wondering if anyone could think of anywhere that maybe has an outside space to get married (I'm happy to have a humanist ceremony). But that doesn't require a marquee (too expensive).
Or if anyone could think of any large restaurants (preferably again with an outside space) that I could approach to see if they would consider doing a wedding?
Or again any cheap hotels/houses/barns I may have missed :-)
Thank you!

My niece is getting married at Danby Castle this July it looks a cracking place but not privvy to the cost.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

My daughter was married in Bedern Hall in York last October.
Fabulous personal Medeival hall, lovely setting, only a stonesthrow from the Minster.
They went for a ride round York in their Horse and Carriage and all the guests walked over to the Minster Gardens where more photos were taken.
Google Bedern Hall, lovely place.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Unusual
Weston Park Museum, Sheffield. The band stand in the park is licensed for civil ceremonies.
Millenium Galleries, Sheffield. I think there is a patio outside the main room which guests can take drinks on to if the weather is suitable.
Woodlane Country Side Centre, Stannington, Sheffield. Is a large converted barn which is licensed and has lots of outside space.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.

Thank you everyone!
I've emailed Danby Castle for a quote but in my experience if you add the word 'castle' to a venue you can also add £3k+ to the price :-)
I grew up in York so know bedern hall well. It is a lovely venue but we're not really medeival kind of people and I don't think our wedding would 'fit' very well there.
I've also emailed Weston Park Museum and Millenium Galleries but I think the hire of the place on top of food will make it out of our budget.
Woodlane Countryside Centre is beautiful! But again I think paying for the hall then adding food on will make it out of our budget, and it looks like you'd need to hire everything including the chairs. I've emailed them so I'll let you know if I'm wrong!
Thanks again everyone!0 -

Hiya
Original post was me on H2B's account (MSE wasn't liking my password, or my new password, or in fact any password they sent me!)
What would you be interested in Whattodonow? I've got a (very long) list of all the yorkshire venues I've looked at if that's any use?0 -
I have recent been looking at wedding venues in the Harrogate area for a friend and stumbled across the Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate running an offer for 2013 weddings for £2013!
I have posted the link below so have a look for yourself!

Hi,
Only got here from Googling around this very subject with my friend who has slightly different requirement to you - unique indoor venue!
There's a unique outdoor venue available at Ripon Racecourse which sounds like it fits your criteria. We wanted something similar to you, but I found out that Ripon did weddings too late and went somewhere else, the website is at livius-weddings.co.uk.
Hope you got / get sorted with somewhere good - we had a great day, but didn't do "outdoors"...0 -
im getting married at Grays court in york next year, small venue (old building) with outdoor space to get married, they make bespoke packages to what you want, as much or as little etc, have a look!0

York Maze is an A-mazing (excuse the pun) unusual Yorkshire wedding venue. You can get married in the old barns and decorate the place up as you wish. You get to hire the whole place including the play areas and bouncy pillow. You need to plan in advance though its very popular and they get booked up.0
