Just a wee thread for FUN!!!!
Ive been on this thread for a couple of weeks now,and i have gained a serious addiction 'MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENT CALCULATOR' .:D
Its seems i am not alone in gaining this 'addiction' so this is a thread,to offer support,in your OPCA in your darkest hours, how many times, have you been over it today? How many figures have you inputted, and almost wet yourself with the excitement over the difference that extra £10p/m could bring off your mortgage over time?:j
How many times, have you got excited about discussing it with friends, and been met with 'blank expressions'?
Most of us,lets help each other,we are not alone,i for instance, spent an hour last night, changing figures, and got mine down from 23 years to 8!!! Just need to find the money now!!!
Good Luck to all you MFW people,we are here for you!!!!:A

Hahahaha!! Im glad im not alone!
I often go on the calculator and see what difference it makes +/- £10. I still have 32 years left on mortgage (im 25y/o) but with my workings out we can finish it in 10 years, but if were work hard then we can do it in 8!!
Needless to say, im annoying C&G with my OP's! :rotfl:

We're the same with nationwide. Every time we log in to the online banking we round the account balances down and pay them onto the mortgage. They never show up online in the transactions but the mortgage statement we got last week was about 4 sides long!Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Just for the record,an extra £10p/m would take 3 months off my mortgage!!!:j
Oh dear,getting slightly more obsessed,than ever!!!:D
Im so glad i cannot see my Mortgage Statement online,my obsession would go through the roof!!!!!Total Mortgage amount borrowed

I'm obsessed too. I'm going to call up tomorrow to check our official mortgage balance!

I am constantly (it seems) always on my Android overpayment calculator. There's a few out there, which means you can play with the numbers from your smartphone.
I've been using one called "Overpayment Calculator" (catchy name) by GsaSoftApps, particularly simple to use and it has a nice graphical summary, but there are a few out there if you search for "overpayment calculator" in the android market ....
Trouble is, I want to pay more than I can actually afford!0
