Monday and Tuesday were NSD'S 7 & 8. Didn't get one today as DH needed to go out. So we bought 12 red roses for DD to show her how much we love her and DGS needed some shoes so we got those too.

Have a lovely VD tomorrow everyone.

Hugs to all and keep warm.

  • Hi Everyone!

I have NSD 5 today :D Also, great news...I had a letter from MBNA to say they will be sending me a cheque for PPI that I paid over 7 years ago on a credit card. So chuffed as I only sent off the forms after reading everyone's success stories here on MSE.
Thanks everyone, you are all such terrific support! :T

My third consecutive NSD, taking me up to 7 NSDs so far. This run of NSDs was much needed, as I was way behind my NSD target, way over my grocery budget, and also overdrawn (pay day is Friday).
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

  • Evening all

    It's bitterly cold here.

Karen, sorry to read of your card troubles. Hopefully you will be reimbursed quickly. I don't know what gives people the right to help themselves to other people's money / cards & details.

Pennysaving, that's great news regarding your claim. I almost wish I had taken out PPI before so I could make a claim!! ;)

If, that is just so cute. I love cats, my own cat is a rescue and I love her to bits and tell her everyday. I think she thinks I'm mad and I know I spoil her but I can't help it :D

I am declaring DAY 9 today. Whohoo, I am over half way to my target.

Take care and keep warm everyone.

Yesterday was a spend day,the 'tache needed attention and I bought a few groceries. My next spend day was planned for Friday, but I renewed my subscription today for a club run by work which gives lots of discounts in local shops and businesses. Not much (20 francs) but a spend nonetheless.

So I got home and a think about my nsds.I nipped out to the local shops and got one or two things (mainly eggs to make a cake on Sunday) and have decided to try for 5 in a row please freeby, starting tomorrow.:D

I also need to go over my budget as I have a substantial medical bill to pay each January and have never budgeted for the whole amount.I'm going to try and put aside the full amount for next year,so might need to do some belt-tightening.

Well done everyone who has got an nsd today.:j

    pennysaving great news about PPI!:D

    if how lovely-thanks.:)

karenccs67 it never rains, but it pours sometimes.:mad:What bad luck.I hope it all gets sorted without too much hassle.

Evening all, sorry I can't even recall if I ended up on here yesterday or not - this week is a total whirl, although in the busy work way rather than lovely social way (though can't complain, one pays for the other)

Well yesterday was NSD #7 I know that much. I also sent through a pile of towels I ordered at the weekend from BH$ - and the ones I bought in store will be going back too :A

Unfortunately I'm now £56 lighter today as pud was due her annual vaccinations at the vet - although can't complain, last time i was there was this time last year for her booster too. :) to add insult to injury to the poor thing she was wormed, and we've just done her flea drops - full MOT and full on strop by pud :rotfl: (actually a few treats will being her round).

Made a lovely mushroom quiche tonight (prob more mushies next time) - very cheesy as that kinda fell in the mix :o and has a yummy crispy blue cheese crust on top (found some grated danish blue in the depths of the freezer :D) after years thinking quiches were something to be scared of cooking, I must admit I'm actually quite good at them :D (i'll work on the modesty bit later lol!)

Am thinking of booking a weekend away in late summer for me and OH, been looking since Sat night and keep going through to the payment page but can't quite bring myself to press the button - goodness knows why, we don't go away a lot but it seems an awful lot of money in one go.
