Thanks OP, my little robin has a fat ball under the hedge waiting for him every morning. It's his secret place. I do feed the other birds too, but he gives me the greatest pleasure stocked up now.

Thanks OP will try to get there. I've got a robin in my garden too. He waits for me on the fence and comes down while I'm still out there. he is so cute.

On another note a lady i used to work with once going on about an abundance of birds in her garden and came out with
"the man at the papershops got fat balls, i can't seem to get enough of them at the moment" the other lady i worked with and i burst out laughing, she really didn't realise what she had said .
