Premiere buses - Nottingham

If you were planning on catching one next week (not that we could - they pulled our local route at the end of the year) - they've gone under completely as of 5pm tonight, so make alternative arrangements tomorrow morning (granted they'd been so unreliable that most people had done this already for a while).
Stuff being said about the council picking up priority routes but if they do what they've done to help out in the aftermath of our route being lost it'll be completely inappropriate and useless for a lot of the people affected (the buses they've put on for us have no pushchair access - with a baby plus issues walking that I'd have used the bus for getting back from the local shops it's just pointless to me and I've been pretty much stuck in the house since the bus route went)... just a heads up anyway in case anyone's stood freezing at the bus stop on Monday AM.

thanks Dizzi - I'm gutted that the Red 9 has gone, that was absolutely invaluable to me coming back from the rugby on a Friday night. Luckily Kinchbus have picked up the route and kept on the late night journey and even retimed it slightly later which is good. Only gripe is theres no Sunday journeys - that's a nice little earner for NCT as their 1 route (which I dont like getting, its dearer, takes longer and I dont like the buses they use - I had an accident on one which I'm suing them for) will pick up the passengers that would have got the 9. Must admit, last time I caught the 9 was in December and I noticed that they were increasingly using the luxury coaches on this route which I thought was strange, I wonder if even then they were trimming their fleet?
I'm off to Meadow Lane on Sunday to watch the rugby (on the 1 now by the looks of it ) and their depot is directly opposite the ground so I will be interested to see if theres any movement or if it's all locked and in darkness....
i know other companies are picking up some of the routes but the 7 and the 9 are the only ones I know of at the moment.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
Thanks for this - I was hoping to catch the 74 this morning. I prefer catching this bus because they give change, and they have really friendly drivers.
Gutted they are gone, they are a lifeline for many elderly people who want to catch the buses to the retail park in Netherfield or Arnold.SPC #1813

The 17 going absolutely killed me - I've got severe SPD so can't walk far at the moment, could just about take baby number 1 down the stupid hill in Stapleford to get to shops and baby groups, knowing I could get the bus back (assuming it wasn't the one of their buses that couldn't make it up hills - they seemed to have got increasingly short of buses recently as they'd flooded the Long Eaton route with extras to compensate for the tram work delays) - but we lost that at the start of the year.
Council did step in and do a partial Stapleford/Tesco circular route which has helped out the elderly though - but it's a minibus with no pushchair access so no use to me!
I'm gutted for the drivers who were all generally really nice and chatty (although still too fond of zooming off before you'd sat down) - shame to see them go under.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
