Clearing out bedrooms. Does anyone know good site to sell books? Nothing valuable just loads of paperbacks? Tia
Do you have a facebook account? You could search groups in your area for buy, sell, swap sites or freebie groups in your area.
  • Snap-ant can I try quiz? Probably won't be able to do it daily or get high scores but I can try

Have you tried Green metropolis They give £3 for every book but sometimes take ages to sell.Ok if you have plenty of storage space. So if the postage is £2.20 you only make 80p but every little helps.

Searched on both but to be honest it's not worth it. Got a couple of archive size boxes full of paperbacks I've collected from various sources including new and second-hand. I rarely pay more than £1 for paperbacks so giving them away is fine. Swap lots of books with friends but lots of these have come to me that way so they are at the end of their usefulness for us.

just to let you know i have had this happn with asda wouldnt let me in and i informed them they open till 4 and i was there at 3.47 but the guard said no so i went home emailed headoffice and got a nice £10 gift card and was appologised too:D

Morning everyone. The 'locked out' approach to money-saving! Never heard of this one before, so might try it - right, I'm off to be outside Sada at 3.59pm...

I've been checking and rechecking this thread every 20 mins just to see if it's a glitch day. Last Sunday, I did manage to get the bacon with a glitch but unfortunately late in the day so didn't manage many A multibuys on my shop - I'll have to, eventually, get a list prepared for myself of A multibuys and who they compare to, so I can go straight to that next time there's the glitch rather than rushing around last minute trying to find them.

Last Sunday's glitch appeared to kick in two days after someone (me) first noted that the multibuys for A had disappeared from MSM. It wasn't glitch day on the Thursday; the glitches appeared to filter down into the APG two days later. Someone (not me) noted yesterday the multibuys had (briefly?) gone - I wonder if this means expect glitch to be tomorrow?

No shopping for me today - bits to do around the house and I may go and try some wombling today if I get chance. Please can someone post the word "glitch" in huge sized letters if the multibuy glitch happens today - as I need it drawing to my attention straight away. Please no false alarms!

Away from this, just noticed T vs A (if it's not glitch day): buy in 2s: Tizer 2L T £1.04 x2 and A Any 2 for £1.50. (75p each for 2L pop bottles is below my '5p/100ml' guide.) (Might be better to wait to tomorrow and buy on A multibuy in Avs T if it's a glitch day, assuming A's multibuy is still on in store then.)

Rest of this post relates to non- Northern Ireland:

Note the own brand pops are also on offer, cheaper: 2 for £1.00 at M this week - and have been all week - but too many to note so weren't in my list (and still aren't). I mention them now though in case anyone wants them. I think I did post the varieties within in a list a couple of weeks or more ago, before the previous (same) m'buy at M apparently ended, I think I deleted them from the list when the offer appeared to expire last time (my M's not that good, I'm afraid, some price SELs coming off and on and couldn't tell from looking if the M deal was still on, so I assumed it wasn't).

Most varieties of 2L own brands - in twos - should be okay vs M (subject to the usual caveat of N/A situation).

Also Morries near miss: Hula Hoops 7 pack - 84p. (Missed off as W is 83p at the mo.) But I'll mention it as only 'loses' a penny and means you don't also then have to buy a separate 8 diff. items shop vs W. Don't worry - varieties of Hula Hoops in M coming up (hopefully) shortly.
  • Oi!! Have you looked at what 1.5lbs actually looks like? It's a pack and a half of sausages. Pack and a half of lard. Would you still be saying "only" 1.5lbs if you'd gained it instead of losing it?

Keep up the good work, and well done!

Off the zero club list you go :)

    YES!

When my heating was done last year, they put a new rad in my bathroom which the plumber swore blind was straight and that it was my tiles that weren't straight. It's definitely the radiator that isn't straight and it drives me nuts every day

It's coming out in a month or so. Landlord wants to knock my toilet and bathroom into one. I will be there with the spirit level to make absolutely sure that everything is straight :rotfl:

    Morning All
    Just.
Thank you Queen of Cheap good point about the packet and a half of lard. That reminded me of a tip to weight potatos and put in a bag each week so you can feel the weight you are losing totalling it up each week.:)
