    weird one in morrys today

    160 tetley teabags £4.30:eek:
    240 tetley teabags £3.00

they were at the side of each other on the shelf and i had to stop a lady putting the smaller (dearer pack) in her trolley!

This quite often happens when one pack size of a product is on promotion. It's not confined to M's. It also fits with what I've said before (now on the immediately previous thread) about people buying the same items and same pack sizes week in week out and not bothering to check each time to see if another version/different brand is now better value. (Probably in my view why the 'offers' in stores are rotated and rotated.)

This week the Nutella Hazelnut Chocolate Spread 400g, which is on my Avs M list (to follow), is I think cheaper than one of the 200g. (I don't know for sure here as I didn't take down the actual price of the 200g version, which was certainly more expensive per 100g even if it wasn't outright dearer - I think it was outright dearer though: thus twice as much, for a cheaper price! And, of course, should be cheaper still via A via the APG.)

That said, the 400g products, on the shelf, did seem in shorter supply so, unless the stock has been kept low, which I can't say it has, it does seem at least some people do check the other sizes on their shopping. I'm not bothered about the short supply though for APG purposes.

Good news - it seems my Avs M list is going into my documents in a format that is keeping the current A price and allowing me to edit and put the M price straight in more easily. It may be a short while tonight though, as I've got to recheck what range of Chicken Tonights are stocked in M (I've only put one on my list, for illustration for my own purposes, and will need to get it more comprehensive).
