The Extra Lovely (un)intelligible Totally Elitist thread

Hi again - I've been here all along with a Sat. afternoon free. The Av M list for this week is now complete (as much as it will ever be, which is now pretty substantial). It is on about page 171 of this thread, post no 3409 (from 31st Jan morning at half past midnight). Rootednomad - I have 'alf-inched your list of Mullers to include in it: I didn't see any point adding Mullers not known to compare vs M, so I've just stuck with yours (for all I know it may be complete in itself).
A few things to highlight: what struck me was how M seemed, quite consistently, more expensive than others on some of the Smartprice equivalents stuff. Where I've included Smartprice in the 'vs M' list it's because M is cheapest, or at least as cheap as another rival of A. All to the best of my knowledge and ability etc.
Quite a number of items on offer in M turned out not to be available in A (or aren't on MSM at any rate) - this includes McDougalls Pancake Mix 128g 39p in M; Stute Diabetic Marmalade 730g £1 M until 10/2 and Cirio Passata Tomato juice £1 for 700g (M). None of these are in T either apparently, at least not according to the ever-reliable:rotfl:(!):rotfl:MSM, otherwise I would have put them onto T v M and not mentioned them at this point.
There were a lot of Pataks products in M which I thought, there were so many of them, I couldn't be bothered to check but I then feared it would be discriminatory if I failed to do so and I don't tolerate that. So I duly stood in front of them taking down details of every one. All for none of them to be available in A (or, it seems, T). However, some good news as they are 350g for £1 in M (which is cheaper than A's non-comp. Pataks), so they are more 'buy in M'. It's none too important to specify which on here as it'll be obvious if you are in-store (in M).
There is also a possible GLITCH:j on some Colgate mouthwash - see the very end of my Av M post for information. If it is correct, it should be able to work also Av S or Av T (unless APG doesn't return the same as MSM.co.uk and we know that can happen sometimes). But then again perhaps I'm playing this down and being too cautious when it should be highlighted more than I'm doing.
You can also imagine my excitement:rotfl:, when I found a new item a few moments ago, comparable only vs M - this time it's an Apetina light block of cheese (or cheese-like stuff). It's on the list for the first time!!:):rotfl:0 -
anyone know if the A v M yogurt comparsons will work tomorrow (sunday)? or is sunday a day when morrisons dont work against A?0

are they on offer in Morribobs anyone know?
TIA
Muller rice - I've only included the Mullers that were in Rootednomad's post, but all of the ones on my previous "list of Mullers in M" (I've tried to find this post but to no avail up to now), which included Muller Rices, should, in theory, also compare to the offer.
There are big packs 2 for £5 in T (some in S and also 2 for £5 in M) but I know we don't mean those. If you search this thread (the last few pages rather than back to pg 171), there may be some posts of actual comparisons that show some Muller Rices (I don't know yet, as I haven't caught up as adding to my list, but I'm about to catch up - or try to anyway!:rotfl::rotfl:);)0 -

Sunday should use today's comparison (i.e. the one collected on Wednesday last, being used today and until prices are updated from the collection they'll do this coming Monday).
This of course applies to every grocery item within the APG (and not just yoghurts), except if any grocery items fail to appear on MSM.co.uk between now and Sunday (not too likely, but in case any are taken off sada.com and then MSM's overnight scan update tonight identifies they are not in A anymore or are otherwise out of stock in A*). For all intents and purposes, yes, the M prices being used on the APG comparisons on the APG website will be used tomorrow. (Whether or not the price in A changes up or down or stays the same - if prices in A change tomorrow, the new A price will be compared, if it compares, vs the data they have for M's price from last Wednesday.)
*This is a complex matter: they might however still appear, and be compared if applicable, on the APG if MSM has A as OOS but you nonetheless manage to buy them in A (and hence they weren't OOS at all!). Such as the topdown mayonnaises example on the current Av M list I've done.0 -
Hi guys,
This is from a womble from today @ 13.04hrs. It shows Lynx Apollo XL 200ml as £1.25 in As and £3.oo each in Ts. I've had a look on MSM and its showing as £3 in As also so why has it compared the way it has? Is there something in this? You lot are so good at working these things out....TIA
