They treat it as if it were a normal salary. So they would count the whole £1800. Hope this helps!0

Thanks for this, all. I bank with Natwest anyway - had been meaning to change but may hang on for a while now. Banked with them since 2005 when I started my Undergraduate (free railcard suckered me in!). My partner's currently negotiating a raise at work, so we're going to wait til that's settled, then get us to a broker.
