Best way to borrow whilst unemployed?

My response - a guarator loan - answerred the OP's question in that it likely the only commercial loan he/she will be able to get.
Yes it is an option but why should a friend/family member be the 1 to get stung if the OP misses a payment ? Its unfair on the guarantor if a payment is missed.0 -
If you have an issue regarding threads concerning payday loans, then you should be posting in Site Feedback, and not randomly selecting some poor sod's thread.
Fair enough antrobus - my rant was around the responses to newbie threads - particularly bot not only payday loan related.
I take your point - I should have utilized site feedback or started a separate thread.0 -
How dare you be unemployed!0

pb3 what are you on about. Recommending the OP shaft one of his friends/family member by becoming a guarantor.
Loans are for people with a regular and stable income and finances, not someone unemployed and on benefits.0 -
Why would somebody post one question on here and then not bother to come back and read the replies and/or reply to some of them?
I said yesterday troll I say again today troll - let's not waste any more time on this thread.0 -
£50 a month...hmmm...how can you have that much spare on JSA?....and reduced rate JSA at that of £244 a month. That's 20% of your net income...ouch..:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Hi
I'm totally new to borrowing and am looking to borrow £1000,
I'm not sure whether a loan or a credit card is the best way to go and with the variety of deals out there... which one is best suited?
I'm 24 and can comfortably afford around the £50 mark on a monthly basis, with a little bit of flexibility on that figure if needs be.
A problem I have is that I'm currently unemployed and my credit rating isn't the best.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Would love some advice as I'm a tad bamboozled by the various options out there.
Credit card or loan?
I'd like to thank in advance anyone who takes the time to respond to my message... it's very much appreciated.
I take it you were bored when you posted this?
