I recently had to update my computer, which originally came as an 'all in' Tiny package, from windows ME to XP, I have a disc to re-install the digital camera, but not the scanner and printer which aren't being recognised. The printer is a Lexmark Z42 and the scanner just says 'Tiny' on it. Do I HAVE to buy new? :-((
Also, I do not seem to be able to install the Worksuite 2000 software that came in the original package. The computer doesn not seem to detect that I have put a disc in the drive.
Any advice please?

The scanner should have a number underneath, make a note of it and go to https://www.driverguide.com, you should be able to find the driver you need there.Bulletproof0

sadly there is also a chance that the scanner wont work with XP - i had to get rid of mine...
for worksuite 2000 you should be able to navigate to your cd drive through my computer and run set up from there.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -

My scanner was given to me, it's so old the most recent driver for it was for Windows 95. I downloaded it anyway and it works fineBulletproof0

Everything seems much slower since updating to XP, even though I was assured it would be much quicker. I was using windows ME and aol 9 before and was quite satisfied with the speed of everything, but now, it takes 6-10 seconds after clicking on an email for it to open, and longer when logging onto websites and waiting for links to open - drives me nuts! Any advice?if i had known then what i know now0

So did you upgrade to XP - e.g. Windows kept all the old programs and put them into XP automatically?
Or did you do a Fresh Installation - delete everything from the hard drive and start from Fresh?0 -

Not quite sure how to answer this - I got an upgrade from a local computer shop, they saved the hard drive, so most of the files are still there, but had to reload all of the old software.
The problems I am experiencing are: -
no sound
scanner not recognised .
I have been into properties and several types of scanner are listed but mine is a 'Tiny' - came with the Tiny package, so not listed.if i had known then what i know now0
