Hi. Can anyone advise me on this one?
My current debts are massive and I think the only way out for me is a DMP. My OH doesn't know and I just can't tell him just now. (Explained in previous thread).
I have loans with TSB and Northern Rock and also credit cards with Virgin, Mint and Capital One (SOA also on previous thread). The TSB loan has only been going about 4 months and I also have my mortgage with them.
If I go into a DMP can I include everything except the TSB loan?
This might sound daft but I think this would be the only way of my OH not finding out just now. I will take the chance and tell him once I have been on a DMP for about 6 months but my head is just not in the right place just now to deal with the aggro.
Also, we have a joint account with TSB. My credit rating should still be OK just now so should I open a separate bank account before going into a DMP and just take my name off the joint one. It is only me who pays into the joint one but I could still keep it open to pay the TSB loan.
Can anyone advise if the above is possible or if I have to include all my creditors in a DMP.
Thanks:question:

Lonely. I think that MAY be ok. Payplan asked me if I wanted to include my overdraft to which I replied yes. Anyone else? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I was of the understanding that ALL debts had to be included in a DMP,to make it fair for all creditors.By excluding debts from the plan, you would be seen to be favouring one debt over another,so the creditors may not agree to the plan.
Having a mortgage with LTSB won't cause any problems without a LTSB bank account,we have our mortgage with them and nearly all our debts are with them, but our mortgage is unaffected,in fact we have had an excellent rate change since leaving the bank
I would open another account elsewhere, just to be on the safe side

i also think you have to tell them everything.
i have a loan with lloyds and mortgage with then and currently undergoing a d.m.p. i think your mortgage is actually with cheltnam and glouster throught tsb not actually with tsb. i may b wrong tho.
i would also open another account eleswhere. i just opened one today with barclays.0 -
Thanks for that. I'm obviously hoping the 1st reply is right but I'm sure I will find out. I will definitely be honest with CCCS or Payplan and just explain the situation to them

lonely -When you sign the Dmp agreement with CCCS you are also signing to say that the details you have supplied are a full list of all your debts. I would think Payplan are the same. Tell them you want to do this and see what they say. They can only say no!DEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL
