need advice on Best places to live around Manchester (m24 ish)?

hi,

trying to find a house to rent for for us and our 3 kids and to be honest its a nightmare trying to find somewhere thats not a crazy ruff place because to try and find a safe environment for our kids and somewhere we can all feel safe etc and have a primary and secondary schools near by and work isn't an issue as we work from home.

but we live in Middleton and its awful near where we live and we just wanna get out asap for our kids sake but we have very little info on other areas only from what we see on street view lol .

any advice ,anything would be fantastic help right now.

boarshaw homes look good but not sure of the area....

thanks

  • I don't know very much about the areas at all, but a couple of women I work with who are both married with young kids live in Prestwich and Worsley and have mentioned that they're good areas for raising a young family. I don't know if it's worth looking around those? I've never actually been to either place myself so I'm sorry if this isn't great information! Just that I've heard both women mentioning that where they live are quite nice areas, as they both moved house at the same time about a year ago and I always used to hear them chatting to each other about their home searches and what areas they'd been looking at.

I'm in Prestwich and would recommend living here.Apparently it's known as the new Didsbury not quite sure what that means, but that Didsbury is a really nice/posh south Manchester area. There are some iffy neighbourhoods but P.M me and I'll let you know where is best to avoid. We have loads of parks, great schools, handy to get to either Bury or Manchester town centres. Prestwich village or The Village as its known locally could do with sprucing up but that is happening at some point, house prices are standard I think ,anything else just ask.
