Mortgage with cash back incentive

one of the mortgage lenders I'm thinking of going with has a £1000 cash back incentive with one of its mortgages that's available to me. What I want to know is will i get it as £1000 taken off the mortgage or £1000 in my bank account? I forgot to ask about it when I was there & thought someone here might have had an experience with this.
Thanks

Yup, we have a mortgage offer from Halifax with £1150 and it states it will be sent to our solicitor a few days before the mortgage and we can do as we like with it. We're using it to pay a good chunk of our solicitor's bill, Stamp Duty, etc.0 -
Take care and please check again. Very unusual for a lender to send before completion as they would expect proof of completion before releasing. Consequently, it might not be available at completion to pay the various fees.0

Ok good I was hoping the case was that I would get in cash in my account - would help with doing the place up if that's the case0

The cashback is normally sent with the mortgage money to the solicitor. If they don't do this, they usually send a cheque a few days after completion.
