hi firstly i apologise if i have posted this in the wrong section,
my dad had debts which he was struggling to keep up with the payments so we set up a debt management plan through ccs this has been running since october last year, he is constantly getting letters and phone calls from the creditors even though they are receiving payments from his plan. he is constantly getting these and its making him ill due to the added stress, im worried as he has heart problems, the advice given from stepchange is to ignore these letters, is there anything that can be done to stop all the letters and calls, i understand they want there money but he can't pay what he hasn't got and we all thought by entering him into this plan would take some pressure off of him.
any advice would be grateful as i'm worried for my dads health
many thanks sharon x

He can request that they stop the calls - see this template letter - Telephone Harassment Template Letter
But it is normal for them to continue to write. If the letters are harrassing then you could complain to the creditors/ debt collection agencies quoting the OFT debt collection guidelines to them - see here - UPDATED OFT Guidance on Debt Collection - READ IF YOU ARE BEING HASSLED UNFAIRLYA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
