I have no idea how it really works then!

I still think alot of companies select from their timeline. Some people have gone to the lengths of tagging thier own names in tweets to make sure the entry has gone through. I agree that last entrants can be picked close to contest end, as well as those who keep tweeting after the contest has ended - some win regularly that way.
As there is no real solid way of selecting winners that we know of, Its just down to luck who they pick.
I use a combination of copy and paste and RT's - and have won from both. Its really random.Wishing you all good luck!

It's very strange, I know I've entered RT competitions before where I definitely haven't been one of the last 20 to RT and have still be chosen. I also don't C&P the tweets anymore - perhaps I've been one of the lucky tweeters that the company has received an email about saying I've tweeted ... - still I suppose in future I will make an effort to C&P my tweets just incase but I'm worried about doing that as I've had my account suspended by doing it that way in the past. :mad:A closed mouth gathers no feet.0

RTing too much is also looked badly upon. So I think a good balance between the two and some good chatter is the way to go to keep an active account, xxWishing you all good luck!

My first and only ever win is from twitter!! If I hadn't won anything by now I think I would have given up.. but won £100 on a retweet, Was really pleased.. but it has fuelled me to carry on.. I think I am not really that lucky a person usually... but will keep trying/hoping! Gotta be in it to win it!! :j
