Mortgage incentive / first time buyer issues

Options
Hello all I need advice

I bought a property 4 months ago and as part of my mortgage I was offered a £150 incentive to take out a mortgage with my bank. I still haven't received it. How long is an acceptable time to wait?
Also I had to pay some additional money to my solicitor to give to the seller as they had said they had paid ground rent and service charge etc for the rest of the year but they haven’t paid this and I have ended up paying some (not all) I keep chasing my solicitor but I am not getting much response.
What do other people think?

Sounds dodgy to me, but I don't really know much about this sort of thing. You'd probably get a more informed response on the "house buying, selling & renting" board, where there are all sorts of experts who'd be much better able to help you than the typical MFW poster.

    Good luck anyway.

Are you sure the cashback wasn't included with the mortgage advance sent to your solicitor? Some do it by cheque after completion, while others send it with the mortgage funds. What does your mortgage offer say?

On the other issue, no-one but your conveyancer can help. Write to them if you are unable to get a phone response.
