Yay! ... What next?!

Having checked the IS register twice daily for forever as I sent back my IPOQ in October, this evening it tells me I had ED 2 weeks ago. It obviously takes a while to update! I want to shout yaaaaaayyyyyyyyy from the rooftops but as nobody knows about my BR I can't so here will do! :j_party_

So, do I need to leave a certain period of time before cleaning up my credit files or can I get stuck right in?

Most importantly for some unknown reason, my BR isn't on my credit files. Do I keep schtum, but contact creditors to get the defaults changed to settled/satisfied/partiallysatisfied? Or do I really need to get the BR put on my files?

I've not been at all well the last few weeks so am not as happy as I should be to no longer be BR but onwards and upwards.

Check your credit files in a month or two and get any late default and unsettled/satisfied accounts sorted. Only reason I say to wait is to give creditors a chance to update themselves which may save you effort and money sorting some of them.

I think we have been through why the BR order itself may not show, so no need to correct that.

    Congrats on the ED.:j

    Thanks everyone :-)

One more question. In today's post I have received form 6.82 notice of discharge which is sealed. I've also printed off a couple of copies from the IS register where it says I am discharged. The letter says if I need a formal certificate of discharge I can contact the court.

Do I need a formal certificate of discharge or is what I have got ok?
