If only it was that easy. Only the lender's can release your ex-husband from his mortgage commitment, and to achieve this option, you will have to convince the lender that either you (singly), or anyone else you wished added to the mortgage, is acceptable to the lender, meets affordability and lending terms and conditions.0

Why and how? If he released from the mortgage by the lender what right has he to any of the proposed lodger's rent?0
