Sainsbury having a laugh at customers.

Most of the half priced items online are not honoured in store. Are they having a laugh at customers or what?

For example Ariel Excel Gel 888 ml
Manager said "Store changes there prices after a day of online promotion because you can't get the things online on the same day"

I replied "It's been half price since yesterday."

Manager "Trust me this is the case. you will find half price from tomorrow."

the manager is absolutely right... offers in Sainsburys tend to change on a Wednesday, but may be shown on their site on the Monday or Tuesday, for delivery on Weds or later.

    I assumed everyone knew this.
  • The offers change in store at 00:01 on Wednesday. Funnily enough I know the Ariel Excel gel is now half price in store because I saw the price control staff changing the tickets this morning!

its been like that for years they always update there website most times on a Tuesday for people who want there shopping to come on say the wed.

so the store Manager was right.

It does say on products which are on offer with wording like 'offer valid on deliveries before or on 12th Feb'. So what this means if you have your order done to be delivered before or on 12th, you pay the offer price. If you place your order online on 10th Feb for 13th Feb, you get charged the price on that day.

Sometimes it benefits you. You don't know what the future offers are. For example, if you placed 2x350g Cathedral City at £3 each last week for delivery for tomorrow, you will be better off as its now on BOGOF at £4.38
