I won a holiday

I won a ski holiday to the Alps. I was over the moon!
HOWEVER, and let this be a warning. I couldn't afford to go!
Although the plane and hotel were included nothing else was - after adding everything else up it was actually going to be very expensive.
Remember this anyone else applying for these types of comps - make sure they offer spending money / full board as part of the win
I was very sad :-(

I hope you can sort out some money so you can accept the prize. Fingers crossed for you. xx:heartpuls ~~~*The Greater Your Storm...The Brighter Your Rainbow*~~~ :heartpuls0

Well done! Shame you can't go though.
Unfortunately stuff like this is usually mentioned in the t+c's, but in the excitement of entering such competitions people usually forget to read them.0 -
Which competition was it? Was it one from here?0

I'm always careful when entering holiday comps. Some don't include flights or transport and sadly it is expensive.
What a huge shame to win and not be able to go. Can you not transfer the prize to someone else or ask for cash alternative perhaps?

I agree....the majority of comps I enter for hols don't include spending money or if they do its a small amount that would never cover the actual spends...Bit of a Florida Fan :j

Aaaaaw that's a shame. I always check T&C's to see how much it'll cost me before entering. I've won 2 holidays - One was a fly drive, so I paid for a hotel, & food .... The other was flights & hotel, I paid for transfers, & food .... I would never have gone to Hawaii or Florida had I not won them, & I wouldn't have missed going for the world! I do understand what you mean though, better luck next time.0
