Conveyancing services after mortgage offer...

Apologise if my question is silly or very basic as I am new here in mortgages and very confuse.
Yesterday I received a message from Nationwide that they have now issued a formal mortgage offer. I am now waiting for original offer documents.
- Shall I wait for original documents first before instruct to my solicitor to start conveyance work and pay search pack fee (My solicitor hasn't received any information about my mortgage offer from Nationwide)?
What should be my next step??

You'll probably find the solicitor gets his copy of the offer and instructions at the same time as you get yours.
Up to you if you authorise the searches now, or wait for the paper copy.I am a mortgage broker. What is a risk involve if I authorise now before getting original paperwork? My seller wants to complete sale by latest 15th March 2013.0 -
Risk that your mortgage offer isn't for what you requested?
Not much, I wouldn't have thought.
If you have still to pay for the searches, why not do that now. The solicitor may not yet have received a plan from the vendor's solicitor to be able to request the local search and we're probably only talking about a day or two before your written offer arrives.I am a mortgage broker.
