FTB mortgage whilst on maternity leave

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows about getting a mortgage whilst on maternity leave? I'm due to go back in October of this year and am on SMP now.

Do lenders count SMP as my income or the salary I was/am going to be on when I return in October?
Thanks

The vast majority of lenders treat maternity leave as "continous employment," although they are likely to request from your employer confirmation of your return to work date and expected salary (many mother's either extend their maternity leave or return at reduced hours and therefore lower income).
