Hi
I know a lot of people would like to but would really like to work from home and be able to work around my 2 young children as we dont have any free child care.
Wondering if anyone can give me any ideas, i dont mind doing a course to gain a qualification but again would need to be able to do the qualification online
Many thanks in advance

This isn't a great work at home idea generator of a forum I'm afraid.0

It depends what qualifications/skills you have already.
I'm a teacher but do tutoring from home to top up my supply teacher income.
I have a friend who does a lot of crafts which she makes at home and sells on through a website she set up.
I also have another friend who is a trained beauty therapist and has changed her spare bedroom into a 'salon' so she does nails and other beauty treatments from home.
Then there are things like Avon/FM cosmetics that you could also do from home.0 -
If you are working with young children around you would be restricted in how much attention you can give either, I couldn't do my job with small children needing my attention, have you investigated becoming a childminder?0

There are companies that out source their customer services to home workers, maybe this could be an option for you? I seem to remember they offer different shifts including evenings.
Try googling Arise and 360crm. I'm pretty sure there's an Arise thread on the forum if you do a search.

If you have any tech or writing skills there are a number of things you can do online. flexrider points out some good resources.
As other people have said it depends on your skills and experience. You said you would take a course so maybe something like beauty, nail painting, book keeping etc. What would you be prepared to do?
Just be aware most things take time to build up.0 -
For example, you can launch a freelance writing career.0

Thanks for your help, i have been a travel consultant and also worked fr a bank. Really trying to find a job that doesnt expect me to 'sale'.
I would really enjoy an admin based job from home as i used to do a lot of the admin side in the bank. Just worried as you see 'work from home' jobs advertised and never know if they are genuine or not0 -
There are very few 'proper' jobs that you can do from home unless you are selling unfortunately. Also if you have small children you won't be able to give any role your full attention. It sounds a great idea, but in reality the people who I work with who are able to work from home and have young children tend to not do it as they find the children take all their time and energies.0

in the list of work from home, internet is on the top
like flexrider said you can do freelancing or you can start a blog/website which fit for your niche and add ads in your blog...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
