Well seeing as this is the up your income forum I thought I might ask, are there any domainers here, aka buy and sell domains to turn a profit?
this orignally started as a hobby for me and has pretty much turned full time.
It's not as easy a game as it used to be but if your savvy you can still turn a profit.

You think that you can still do this?0 -
yes there are still plenty of oppertunitys the traditional buy a domain park it wait for someone to message you about it is long gone however buying domains and contacting people who may be interested in them is still good money
I sold a domain I brought for $7 for £870 just last week as I was playing off 3 rival competitors.
I lost hundreds of pounds when i first started off on domains i thought were great (which were infact junk). and i still have some domains i chuck after a momment of madness but overall the people who say domaining is only for the hedge funds and pension companies are sorely wrong its just evolved0 -
Did make a bit on a few domains many years ago but not done anything recently. Have had a few up on sites for sale for a few months and not a sniff, not even for a 4 letter .co.uk0

I bought a single domain thinking I could do this then realized I've no idea how the hell I can sell it (don't like those domain sale sites).
So now I'm stuck with a dontpaygetpaid dot com, which I thought was brilliant at the time I bought it.0 -
Not really stuck with, just allow it to lapse if you cannot find a buyer0

I made a little bit of cash doing this years ago, not thought about it in ages though, I guess I just assumed we were at a point where it would be difficult to get a cheap domain that would be useful to anyone else, other than guessing the abstract. Maybe worth looking into again though.0

the golden age of domaining has expired. The early adopters got in and snapped up the single word .com and other commerially focused domain names.
Around 2010 the exact match domain market was lucrative but that too has been pluged up with recent google updates which have destroyed the value of these domains.
I think the payoff is becoming thinner and thinner and even companies with big financial backing are going with silly sounding domain names like flickr, fiverr and other brand names which are eluding me right now. So it's harder to predict what will sell.0 -
Use to do this a long time ago. Not sure there is a market now unless you had some premium names from years ago. You do see the odd big .org.uk and .co.uk sale though0
