Council tax question, quick answer needed!!

My girlfriend and I are breaking up and she yesterday moved out of our apartment, how do I go about getting the 25% reduction on council tax for living in the place on my own??

Also, am I entitled to any other discounts, I'm in full time employment so would guess not!!

Just apply to the Council Housing Benefit Section. If you are 25 years old and working 30 hours or more you may be eligible for Working Tax Credit.

Google your Council and you should get their website with all contact details. :)

Phone up your local Council and ask for the Council tax office.
They will advise you of any discounts.

Have you checked your c/t banding at https://www.voa.gov.uk and checked that you are not on a higher band to the other neighbours and paying more?
You can apply online on the voa site if you are on a higher banding.
Take it from there or come over to the 'council tax discussion thread' and someone will help you.

I have looked at this too my council do a single person discount through a online form.
Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?
