My partner is the main breadwinner earning about £40k i earn about £10k as i only do 2 days a week as we have a little girl, his credit rating is around the 900 mark but my credit history isn't great around the 400 mark im trying my damned hardest to improve it though but it doesnt seem to be getting any better, (one default will come off my credit history will come off in a month though) would they look at my credit history as much as his or should he apply solely and forget about me being on the mortgage application?
The house we want to buy is £205000
Our deposit is £11k plus fees
Do we stand any chance of getting this mortgage?
What are Nat West like for strictness with lending?

You are looking at 94.6% Loan To Value, plus requiring almost 5 x husband's income I would suggest it is not going to be possible. If you have recent or current defaults/arrears then there is no point trying to add yourself to mortgage. At this LTV you will have to be 'squeaky' clean.0

We had a chat with the Nat West mortgage advisor and she said that it might be possible just on his income alone, whats the maximum x's income that a mortgage company would offer?:staradmin Competition wins! :starmod:
