apple pear and banana all tend to go brown quite quickly, but both apple and pear will stay nice for longer if you put them in a bit of OJ or Sprite. I think banana goes brown and mushy whatever you do to it _pale_ - can't stand it myself so I'm not sure.
If you are careful what you put in it fruit salad will keep for 2/3 days in the fridge. Melon, kiwis, oranges or tangerines, pineapple (fresh or tinned) all do well. Berries not quite so good but they'll keep for a while.0 -

I'd say a maximum of 3 days, for apples, pears, oranges, kiwi fruit, melon, pineapple but sprinkle generously with lemon juice and keep the bowl covered. And don't put banana in - always add that fresh. If you get a whole pineapple just cut a slice off the top at the time and cover the exposed surface with clingfilm, Do the same with melon and they will keep for up to a week at 5 degrees.
Another filling diety thing is to make up a big bowl of finely chopped white cabbage, carrot & celery & eating apple. . Cover with cling film and it will keep for several days.Sprinkle with a little lemon juice if you prefer. If you want a portion of coleslaw, you can then just take out a cup full at a time and mix in a tiny quantity of light salad cream mixed with Greek yoghurt.0
