Keeping my surname, adding my husband's surname...how?

I would like to keep my surname but also have my husband's attached at the end.
I know many institutions such as banks, passport office etc. will simply accept the marriage certificate as the wife taking the husband's surname but as I am keeping mine but wanting his attached to the end of it I wondered if there was something I had to do?
Do we need to do this via deed poll? Or with marriage certificate, will institutions still accept my surname with the added of his?
Many thanks!

Legaly you can change your name to whatever you wish (As long as is not to defraud someone )
You need to inforrm all people or organizations that you normaly deal with.
In reality there may be some that need more. In that case you will have to see what they require.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Hm I was wondering this too.. I am keeping my surname but having it as a middle name (as I don't already have one) so I will be ok for documents etc as my surname will also be his.. but want to make sure my new middle name is "official" so am thinking i need to do deed poll for that...CC1 £7,944.10

I rang the deed poll office and I can keep my surname and add his surname to the end of mine no problem it seems. The lady told me most companies will simply accept our marriage certificate as proof that I want to take and use hubby's surname with my own. :T
As you're changing where your original surname is positioned I think you may have to go through deed poll but best check by ringing Deed poll directly.0 -
