Has anyone had solar panels installed by G.R.E.E.N (Global Renewable Electrical Energy Network) in Biggleswade, Beds? I've got a problem with a leek & the Company's tel no. is unobtainable & e mails returned. Statement on web site say they are no longer trading but Companies house have no info on this & therefore I cannot claim on the insurance company.

Whilst I have no knowledge of this firm, this is fairly standard I am afraid with solar thermal installation firms. Some firms cease trading regularly and start up again using a new name; but with the same premises etc.

If you contact the local Trading Standards Office they may have some knowledge of the firm.
  • Thanks both. I contacted Trading Standards who were most helpful. I have written to the Company but no reply. I am now writing again saying I will get the work done by my own builder & seek the cost from them. We'll see what happens! Thanks again
  • Have you tried contacting the CPA as they advise on the site?

I know that their warranty was backed by 3rd parties so if there are problems you should be able to get some help. I have an installation from them too as I used to work with someone that knew the MD.

They were a decent business but opted for closure as the tariffs changed.

If you need further help then PM me.

    11x 250w panels West; 5x 250 panels East.
On course for 19.8% ROI in Year 1.
    Immersun installed 13/9/12
  • Hi, Have you got any response from the company? Please update us with the result. Recently someone from my contact was enquiring about this company.
  • No response. I'm now awaiting estimate from my builder to send to them. It's not a huge job but my worry is that something may go wrong in the future & I won't be covered.
