Nectar Points into Amazon gift vouchers

This might be in the wrong section so apologies in advance.
Just logged into my nectar account and saw a message:
Please note, from 1st February 2013, you will no longer be able to spend your Nectar points on Amazon gift certificates. This will not affect the validity of any vouchers already purchased.
My question, if i request for a £10 voucher, do I have to spend all in one transaction or can spend the remaining balance on a different day?

You can spend just a bit and the remaining balance will still be in your amazon gift card account0
