We are delighted to team up with Leicester Tigers star Louis Deacon to brew a special celebratory ale for the Louis Deacon Benefit Year which was launched on the 10th October 2012 with a pie and pint night at Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers.
Louis visited the brewery in September and met with Graham Giblett, Head Brewer to learn more about beer and was given the opportunity to select some hops to add to Tiger Best Bitter, to create a special edition pint. He chose Green Bullet hops so we have named his special beer ‘Tiger Green Bullet’.
Tiger Green Bullet offers a distinctive twist offers a delicious hint of raisins and fruits through the use of green bullet hop whilst retaining the rounded toffee character of Tiger Best Bitter alongside a fresh clean bitterness and abundance of aroma, making it the perfect pint to toast Louis' Benefit Year.
Claire Cannell, Brands Manager said: “Louis is a ‘one club man’ and synonymous with Leicester and a keen fan of our beers. s It was great that he could put his personal touch on Tiger Best Bitter, official beer of the Leicester Tigers.”
You also have the chance to win a Leicester Tigers rugby shirt signed by the first team. Simply visit one of our Tiger Green Bullet stockists to purchase a raffle ticket. All proceeds go to the Louis Deacon Benefit Year, raising money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers and the Matt Hampson Foundation.
