Help please crafted baby girl gifts

Hi all my brother is having a baby girl and I would like to make something for her but I don't know what Myne are all boys and I have always just bought gifts for friends baby girls.

But as she is my only nice I want to make soothing for her any help on ideas please I can sew .

If you sew make one of those touchy-feeling books (go to any baby department for inspiration) with shiny, crispy, fluffy elements. My kids still enjoy one like those (from Usborn, i would say), now they read it themselves - it's about a mouse which get through some obstacles (household stuff - kids love to recognize familiar things in the book) to get to the cheese. Text you could write with pens for fabric. The rest - application methods. You could even make personalized story - like "My name is ... This is me with mammy, daddy... I'm happy (big smiley face) - if you have any safe reflecting fabric - it woulk be fantastic here as a mirrow. I.m in a pushchair going to the park, playground... This is my home... (what is inside - different kind of fabric with something which make sound inside). I start cowling... I Start walking... Anyway, you've got the idea.
