Hi all,
We had 'carrot ribbons' with a russian meal at a restaurant a month or so back & I was going to try the same again tonight to use up some carrots with our roast. Any ideas how I would cook them & what with? I can remember that they were very delicious, but can't remember what they may have tasted of other than carrot!
Thanks x

Thanks - I don't think I've got any honey in. Just wanted something simple really that someone has at least tried before. Can I just fry them in butter maybe?0

I'm assuming that you want cooked rather than raw carrot ribbons:

Just seen your reply above.
I think that once you have made the ribbons with a vegetable peeler you can cook them however you want - either blanch and serve plain or saute with other ingredients either after or instead of blanching0 -
Thank you. Just found a recipe for peas & carrots in butter - will try that for tonight
May try a few different ways in the months to come - would never have occurred to me to try this before

I just steam them for about 4 mins0
