Odd smell from cooking vacuum packed meat...not off just...odd.

I've sometimes noticed a bit of a 'sweaty smell' from vacuum packed meat, but it usually disappears altogether once it's been freed of its wrappings for a while.
Like others have suggested, in this case, I'd take it back to Aldi and complain. If you're feeling dubious, phone them first and ask to speak to the Manager before making the trip - especially as the weather is so lousy. But make sure you stand your ground and don't let him 'fob you off' - tell him that you're a regular customer and it's never happened before, but you're really disappointed in this instance . 0 . 0
