How long do Underwriters take??

On 16th Jan'13, The underwriters requested for my employer's reference letter and asking for details information about an extra income on my payslip (I am with employee share scheme and I sold some shares and that was stating as 'Beans stock' on my payslip). The explanation of Beans stock and Employers Reference letter has already been sent on 17th Jan'13. I asked the mortgage broker about this and she said that these are still waiting to be accessed with the Underwriters? I am just wondering why they havn't received them yet and;

How long do Underwriters take the decison after receiving these documents?:(

    My MB sent many reminders but havn't received any response yet. She also sent another email yesterday to Nationwide underwriters as well. MD said it should normaly takes 24 hours but, no joy yet. Our lender is Nationwide.

    Ive not touched nationwide for a while - since i nearly lost a good client because of their ridiculous 1 month timescales to look at paperwork.

    That was about 3-4 months ago.

    To be honest their rates are pretty good so i imagine there will be a bit of a wait.

    Ask your broker to speak to their account manager. The account manager should be able to give a rough idea over the phone. It should take about 5 minutes.

    Weather was pretty bad in Swindon on Friday. Most major employers closed early as no buses were running.
